Focus and Scope

Uplift: Journal of Sustainable Community Development is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, impactful research and field-based insights on community service, social innovation, and sustainable development. The journal serves as an interdisciplinary platform bridging academic knowledge and practical field interventions to empower communities. The journal welcomes submissions focused on Community Services and Engagement, including but not limited to the following key themes: 

Community Empowerment & Social Innovation: Participatory action research (PAR), capacity building, local leadership development, and inclusive community initiatives.

Sustainable Economic Development: Village-owned enterprises (BUMDes), micro, small, and medium-sized  enterprise (MSME) assistance, local supply chain optimization, and sustainable livelihoods.

Appropriate Technology & Digitalization: Implementation of accessible technology, digital transformation for local businesses, renewable energy adoption, and smart village frameworks.

Education & Human Capacity Building: Lifelong learning programs, vocational training, literacy enhancements, and educational outreach in rural or marginalized regions.

Public Health & Environmental Sustainability: Community-based healthcare solutions, waste management strategies, local climate resilience, and natural resource conservation.
