About the Journal
Deixis: Journal of Linguistics and Literature Review is a double-blind, peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to advancing theoretical and empirical scholarship at the intersection of linguistic analysis and literary criticism. The journal invites original submissions spanning pragmatics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, systemic functional linguistics, and formal syntax/semantics, prioritising studies that interrogate the mechanics of language within diverse socio-cultural matrices. Concurrently, the journal welcomes rigorous critical essays, stylistic evaluations, narrative analyses, and theoretical reviews that examine literary texts through frameworks such as literary pragmatics, narratology, critical theory, and comparative literature. By integrating linguistic precision with interpretive literary scholarship, the journal fosters multidisciplinary dialogue on how textual structures construct, mediate, and contest meaning. The journal is published quarterly, with issues appearing in January, April, July, and October.
